 Carel S90 Digistat Controller
A very popular and well proven controller is the Carel S90 Digi-Stat. The Carel TW thermostat simultaneously displays set point, differential and temperature on its backlit Liquid Crystal Display. This unit has a digital readout which is very accurate.
The Carel Digi-Stat allows you to select the set-point range within a minimum and a maximum value, the status of the output relay (ON/OFF) in the event of probe failure, the heating/cooling mode and the position of the differential as PRE or POST of the set point.

The Carel SP90 Digistat Controller over the years has proved that for boiler and pond heating control, there is no other thermostat device more reliable, with accuracy to +-1°C. The Carel SP90 digital readout can be set to display in both °F or °C.
The Carel SP90 is a complete controller featuring 5 relay outputs to control all the main actuators: the compressor (directly up to 1Hp single-phase), the fans, defrost, other auxiliary functions (for example, alarms), while the fifth relay is used to control the light. Two programmable digital inputs allow automatic alarm management, real time defrosts, control of the light upon the opening of the door etc. By simply setting a parameter the use of the keypad can be disabled.
The unit is supplied as standard with an alarm buzzer and infrared receiver.
In addition, this controller can be fitted with a serial card that allows the instrument to be connected to a supervisory or telemaintenance system.

Note:
You will need to purchase a probe in addition to this unit to which there are three lengths available: 1.5 metre, 3 metre and 6 metre. Please also note that if you are an existing owner of one of these, the probe has been significantly upgraded recently and the probe is now constructed out metal, this is a great improvement for both reliabilty and accuracy over it's plastic predecessor. |
