Shipping & Carriage

We at Dankoi would like to mention to all our customers that we would dearly love to offer free shipping on all our products, but alas this is just not possible. We would also like to draw your attention to the difficulty we have in estimating the actual costs involved as far as Shipping and Carriage charges are concerned when customers place their orders for both Single and Multiple items on our web site.

Because we offer such a large and diverse range of goods, and because it is impossible to know in advance, which item, how many different items, and the quantity of those items customers may wish to order, together with size and weight variables, and the fact that we can arrange delivery overseas, it soon becomes apparent what an insurmountable task the accurate calculation of shipping charges actually is.

When we program the Purchase Buttons that enable you to add that item to the Shopping Cart, we try very hard to place a minimum carriage charge to that item. We are finding however, that when customers are ordering multiple quantities or multiple items that the final shipping cost far exceeds the actual cost for delivery of these items.

We at Dankoi would like to assure our valued customers that the excessive charges will be removed from that order, once the order is received and the minimum charges it is possible to levy will be applied. This does however mean that an element of trust needs to be afforded us by our customers, and we hope that trust will be forthcoming.

We are constantly working on this problem, and hope you will bear with us until we can find a satisafactory resolution.

Current Strategy

Our current strategy is that for deliveries within the UK mainland (excluding the Scottish highlands) all orders received over £100.00. we will endeavour to deliver free of charge, with the exception of large, heavy Items, where specialist arrangements for the transportation of these items will need to be employed.

For all other areas outside the UK mainland including the Scottish Highlands and overseas, and for deliveries of larger heavier items,  we will obtain the best possible price for the shipping and we as a company will subsidise the Standard Tarriff Rates by at least 15%. We hope by doing this we can offer a fair and quality service to everyone.

So to avoid overcharging our customers - our policy will be to receive the order for the required items in the usual way via our Shopping Cart and Payment Provider ( which is now mandatory to have), we will then contact all our customers especially those living outside of the UK Mainland and advise them of the actual shipping charges for those items, the actual amount of the shipping charges we will levy after our subsidy, and if this is acceptable to the customer, then we will require further authorisation for payment of those shipping charges before these goods are dispatched.

We are continually striving to improve this service for both our customers and our own company and hope this method will provide the best option in the interim.

RECEIVING GOODS

Due to rough handling by by all couriers, no matter who they are, damage to goods in transit can occur and unfortunately does. We urge our customers to check the parcel before signing for it. When you sign for a parcel you are signing that you have not only received the parcel, but it is in good condition also. This is extremely important if we are to have any chance of claiming against the currier for damage in transit.

Dankoi is unable to accept responsibility for the damage if the goods are signed for as being recieved in good condition. If on checking the parcel you find the goods to be damaged please refuse delivery and inform us of the problem.

When checking, please ensure that all goods are removed from the packaging to ensure no internal damage has occured.
